Don't buy a GO CAM PRO HD, till you have seen the whole of this video.

As recently I just got my new camera (Go Cam Pro HD hero) from the US, and have been comparing the footage with my old camera. Yet it does have some minor con's with this camera.

Being a slight review on the camera, I've listed them all, and the CONS out weigh the PRO's

CONS
********
0 Doesn't like/adjust to low light or artificial light well (Being that I filmed my video with 2 desk lamp so was really bright, yet the camera couldn't pick it up :( )
0 The actual camera doesn't have a screen
0 You have to buy a specialised part for normal tripod fittings : ( (5 US dollars, for a piece of plastic)
0 Comes with 2 mounting pads, yet once used these pads break after pulling off, so one use only + to buy new pads from the website is very expensive (30 US dollars [can't buy pads separately, can only buy with other products]) :(
0 Have to buy it from US, or an official store (which are extremely rare to find), and shipping fees around the world are expensive
0 Only warranty is guaranteed if bought from the website, as you get a warranty number
0 Warranty doesn't cover water damage
0 Have to keep lenses clean al the time :(
0 To control the camera only has 2 push buttons to work it, change modes
0 Camera turning on to film + switching through menu's and settings is extremely slow and time consuming
0 All the different mounts don't fit the new model HD Hero and only fit the old Hero, so could be boycott by the website
0 They are taking years to develop supposed accessories for the camera, like a plug in screen + Mic
0 The water-proof case has been know to leak easily as the seal isn't the best, as if a hair gets in it, it leaks and that £200 camera is instantly destroyed.
0 When bought it doesn't come with a charging cable :S
0 At the moment it IS NOT WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE, and the files will not be accessible on the file explorer.

PRO's
********
0 It does shoot the all mighty 1080p and 720p at 60 fps for slowing down.
0 Can do time lapse photo's, taking a 5 mega-pixel picture, every interval
0 Is water-proof in case to 70 m deep (great for diving)
0 New accessories are coming out hopefully in a couple of years if possible - like a plug in screen (so you can see what you're filming)

My personal opinion: It's an great little camera, if you can just ignore the disadvantages xD

  • thumbs up if the go pro is better

  • @GangsterSnazz slower shutter speed....

  • wtf is this trying to prove? the gopro is better hands down

  • so judging by what you were filming, do either ever see sunlight?

  • Try dropping your lumix 3000ft freefall....

  • GoPro is still better.

  • do you have ANY friends?

  • @gusbus1223 Also.... go pros will shoot the shit out of that panasonic (I have one) in day light. Not to mention 1080p on the go pro vs 720p on the FT1.
