101 years old and still sounding amazing.
-
Wonder what the people who produced this record imagined the future would hold. Realize that this record came out when the Titanic was just being built.

RCA reissued this on a red vinyl 45 in 1949.

This vid makes me green with envy. I can't hold a tune, even if I had a basket to put it in. Anyway, I am glad to have run across this.

really does have amazing quality for 102 years old as someone said. This must be worth a few bob!

People must have had better taste back then. This really deserved selling a million copies.
I can't imagine a voice with more power than Caruso's. You can tell how great he was even through an old recording.

Caruso was in San Francisco the year before and was caught in the earthquake. It terrified him so badly that he never performed there again.
-
The song was later released in 1931 with additional arrangements. That was 21 years after it was first recorded.

Wonderful ! Amazingly good quality. Thank you for uploading.
Amazing quality for a 102 year old record. Sadly opera, which is not exactly my taste.
