Pete didn't write "Dreaming of you". That was a rumor that Peter spread. He was joking. He later said that he wished that he'd written it but hadn't. The song he sold for dirt cheap in a pub was actually "For Lovers".

dreaming of you isn't actualy a cover. Pete and carl wrote it, thene pete sold it to the coral for a tenner, then the coral took it to #13 in the charts before the libs had had any chart success.
