Let's Play: Mega Man 10 [part 3], Sheep Man's Stage (Nintendo Wii Wiiware)
---
This is the first run in MM10 without knowledge of weaknesses or anything, thus making it a blind athentic first run. Though I may play cautitiously depending on the stage threats I percieve.

Sheep Man (シープマン, Sheep Man?) is a Robot Master from Mega Man 10. He can turn into four clouds of wool that hover in the screen and uses electric attacks. Originally a sheep herding robot, he left that job to work in the static resistance test division of a circuit board manufacturer after noticing one day static build-up on his wool. But being one that easily gets bored, it seems he was thinking about changing jobs again.[1] It should be noted that his stage has the appearing/disappearing blocks that are prevalent in other Mega Man games.

Mega Man 10 (ロックマン10 宇宙からの脅威!!, Rokkuman 10: Uchū kara no Kyōi!!?, lit. Rockman 10: Threat From Outer Space!!) is the upcoming tenth main entry of the classic Mega Man series (not including Mega Man & Bass). Like its predecessor, Mega Man 9, it will be a downloadable title for the same services -- WiiWare, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade -- and is based on the look and feel of the early NES titles. It will be released on March 1, 2010 for WiiWare, March 11, 2010 for PlayStation Network, and March 31, 2010 for Xbox Live Arcade.

Plot
A robotic illness known as Roboenza starts infecting robots, causing them to malfunction, with Roll becoming one of the victims. A month following the outbreak, the infected robots go berserk and attempt to take over the world. Dr. Wily comes to Mega Man and Dr. Light, claiming that he was building a medicine making machine to cure the disease before one of the infected robots stole it. Reluctantly, Mega Man decides to help Dr. Wily retrieve the machine, and soon runs into Proto Man who decides to join him.

Gameplay
Mega Man 10 will have three playable characters: Mega Man, Proto Man and an unnamed third character. The Robot Masters in the game are Sheep Man, Commando Man, Blade Man, Strike Man, Solar Man, Chill Man, Nitro Man, and Pump Man. An easy mode will also be included in the game (which has been compared in difficulty to Mega Man 2) that alters levels, such as placing platforms over spike pits. There will also be a 'Mega Man Challenges' mode where players can practice their skills. Returning features from the previous game include an in-between level item shop and downloadable content.

Development
Mega Man 10 was developed by Inti Creates, a company which developed games in the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX series. Much of the staff previously worked at Capcom, and developed several Nintendo Entertainment System titles, including the early Mega Man games. Like Mega Man 9, the game is a return to the series's roots, as the graphics and music resemble how their original games looked and sounded on the Nintendo Entertainment System's hardware. All the graphics and sound are made from scratch. The game runs on an engine that simulates the behavior of 8-bit video games, even going so far as to include the option to add sprite flicker, known as Legacy Mode.
Audio: Rockman 10 Original Soundtrack is the first of two albums to be made. It is to be released in March 2010 by Inti Creates.

  • This is Wattouat (Mareep) from Pokemon lol

  • @XsharkunX Or vice versa, if you were playing Pokemon, you could nickname Mareep, Sheep Man! is it's a male. LOL

  • if he is a sheep why is he electric and his stage techno?

  • @cooperdoom Sheeps Wool conducts a static charge when rubbed I think, Static is a type of electricity, So Sheep Man is an Electric Sheep. I think that makes sense.. As for the techno music / computer style, I'm not completely sure about that but I enjoyed the level regardless.

  • Why don't you use E tanks?

  • @Bobstew68 I play conservatively, sometimes too conservatively...

Sheep Mans stage is possibly an allusion to the book "Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep" (later made into the cult-hit movie Blade Runner). Viewed in that light, it's actually rather clever what Capcom did.

  • You seem to be inside the source of the inter webz.

  • WTF END POSTER?!

  • Sheeps are grow wool, wool is a conductor of static electricity. BAM!

  • @cooperdoom I think its because Sheep looks like a cloud and clouds have lightining in them.

  • @cooperdoom

shit don't make any sense does it? Like how Shia Lebouf gets works every year :/

  • @StoneMonkWisdom The computer style comes from him being both a sheep and an android. Direct reference to "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"

  • Sheep-sheep has wool-wool is a Material that Causes Static Electricity

It makes perfect sense to me.

  • BTW I was screaming STE ON THE BLUE BLOCKS at 6:26
