@csinsomniak i agree that kang doesnt sound like trey but your description of their styles is a little off. Trey relies heavily on arpeggois and the use of different modes while kang plays a little more scalular than Trey while still utilizing other tools. Neither rely on the pentatonic scale to much during their jams.

to all those saying kang sounds like trey...
I wholeheartedly disagree. Both are great players of their instrument (kang is probably THE best at 5 string mando) but honestly they have styles that are completely different. Trey is a pentatonic innovator (thats obviously not all he does but his use of the scale is notable) and Kang takes much more influence from Bluegrass lines.
