@calimar28 my thoughts exactly! the only thing that sets this apart from a real Beatles track is the advances in recording technology
As a producer I've come across a lot of people capable of a convincing Lennon/McCartney songwriting effort, but little of such material sees the light of day - who you are rather than what you do makes the difference in music :(

Of course this song is based on the Beatles song "If I Fell"...but this song sounds just as good! Im suprised that many of the Rutles songs did not make the charts for real! Many of the Rutles songs were very good!
