I think that's why I've always joked about and made light of dangerous situations. I really don't know for sure how I'd act if I found myself in one...and that bothers me.
When the zombies come I certainly plan to be well prepared, brave, resiliant and able to do whatever it takes to survive but in reality I'd probably run back to save someone lagging behind and get eaten myself in the process.

I had thought that getting a big dog would be deterrent enough to keep anyone had no business in it out of my house. So far, my theory has proved correct as no one has tried to break in.
The point of this bunch of babble is that if someone did break in and posed no threat to my husband and I, as you've mentioned, my dog would probably just take them to where we keep the cookies, neccesitating that we still own a gun, as our first line defense is only good up to a point :).

@thegirl44 I would defend myself too, but i wouldnt shoot a person if i feel the person isnt a threat to me.

That law only applies if it is a forceful entry and only in certain states. I'm from California and it didn't apply, and I live in Canada, now, where gun laws are sketchy, at best, but I'd still shoot anyone had no business in my rickety old house.

How can it be allowed for those scientology criminals to invade private homes and intimidate people. Arent you allowed to defend your own home in USA? I have heard you even are allowed to defend yourself with weapon if thats the case.
