That applies to everything in culture... Defined by religion. So its still all caused by religion. People dont understand these things, you are one of them. How about you think for yourself?..

@hajar13 What do you mean 'if I think for myself'?... This is me thinking for myself, I have gone through a lot of shit with family and friends trying to make my point recognised by them. Nobody else in my life thinks in the same way I do about animal rights and cruelty, and just general human behaviour... No, this is me thinking for myself.

I am half portuguese, my mother comes from Madeira. I love their culture and everything, but it doesnt mean I am happy with their methods either...

@hajar13 Yes, but not every religion makes it as ridiculously painful for the poor animals as the muslims do. And for what? Its ridiculous.

I am caught up on what it is that makes people think it is acceptable to slaughter in this day and age when we have extremely developed and complex mental capabilities, we should have the sense to refrain from doing things out of pure greed. But to make an animal suffer like that, for 'healthier' and 'purer' meat? What a load of bollocks.

@ildlgamereviews The halal method of killing is absolutely fucking disgusting. There is a developed relationship between animal and man, and they deserve to be treated with respect. When a human goes up to an animal, brandishes a knife and proceeds to cut their throat, leaving them to die a slow and painful death, it violates that relationship. It is uncalled for an dispicable. You need to research your facts more.
