what does the 'read only' function do? i cant seem to edit it areas that are shaded by the 'read only' which only appear when i go into the map via minecraft

Great video! One small thing about Populate: you don't need it for generating resources, WorldPainter will do that (if you set the subsurface material to Resources, which is the default).

If you're also using WorldPainter to generate trees there's really no reason to use Populate, it just clutters up the editor with green squares. ;-)

@MrJustinANDmatt You probably installed mods, right? Like it says, you need to point it to an original, unaltered .jar file (for version 1.1). It doesn't have to be called minecraft.jar, you can keep a separate copy around just for this.

Hey i have a quetsion, im trying to change my minecraft for the biome part, but it makes me select my minecraft.jar file so when i do an error box appears saying " The selected file is not the original minecraft 1.1 .jar file" any ideas?
