@cohdee01 "He not only gets satisfaction from the fact that His creation is good but that His creation can & has the ability to give Him glory & some of them actually choose to."
This argument always makes Jehovah sound like a petulant child expecting more from his toys than they are capable of and breaking them in protest at their inadequacy.
@jt2145 because if they showed him talk it'd be fair...thus the truth would be too apparent. creationists are clinging to their myth and will use such petty tactics til the bitter end.
I am speaking about per-existence because at one stage in this path we didn't exist. I am questioning the logic of why a all powerful god would need, or want satisfaction. You cannot comprehend what you think a creator would do based on our human experience and then make the link to how a infinite being would think. You can not say - this is how we create stuff and why and then say so that's why god did. I reason an all powerful being is complete & without need or want.
@benaberry You also continue to speak from a "pre-existing" tense. Doing that will only serve to make this harder to understand. When you talk on the subject of humans not being created you speak as if you were still here to observe what the outcome of not being created would mean for the universe. But if humans weren't created there would be no one to know God. So why would He need to be known? Who would know Him? But becuz He did create us He desired that we did come to kno Him
@benaberry The same reason that any creator creates... to get satisfaction from what is created. And because He gaveus free will He not only gets satisfaction from the fact that His creation is good but that His creation can & has the ability to give Him glory & some of them actually choose to. It's hard for us to comprehend because we live in a world with social classes & ranks But God is in a class all His own. None higher than He...the fact that He created us deserves praise.
Just to make it clear, even if just to a few people who see this video, the only person being spanked here is Lennox. I watched the entire debate, and Dawkins talks absolute, undeniable sense, while Lennox completely misses the point on numerous occasions, and presents arguments that are so utterly ridden with hypocrisies and colossal logical flaws that it's clear he's nowhere near intelligent enough to make even a reasonable attempt at defending an opinion that's outdated in the first place.
Why did he create us? What is the reason for creating us? A uncreated human thinks nothing, you agree? So, it would be reasonable to say if god chose not to create us then your simple comment wouldnt apply....yes?
