@phantomwaltz LOL!! I asked myself the same thing. For some odd reason, I warm up quickly to all of the BBC versions of books (The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Little Women, etc.) regardless of the many versions I've seen elsewhere.

Yes, what is it with the accents? I'm curious as to where they are from, or if they're only put on, as was more common from that time.

This Anne Shirley sounds too whiney and her voice escalates like a rooster. She actually acts more like the gossipy Rachel Lynn. She looks too old to be 16. She acts like a priviledge brat instead of the fiesty, but caring Anne. Megan gave Anne depth and you can see that no matter how far Anne has come, there was still that humble beginning in her demeanor. OMG and Marilla! This Marilla scares the crap out of me. There was no warmth in her.
