Both deal with how our brains have a quick, reflexive part that is the dominant response, and a slower, reflective part, that contains our abilities for rational thinking. However the latter is lazy and ruled by the fast, instinctive, belief-generating part. Both are brief and well written.

Having problems with in-laws not liking you is a big jump to the others saying "religion poisons everything". In-laws just have an easy reason to not like you, but they would have possibly had any other reason otherwise.
