  • Flashsettings?

  • @thure1982 all there on the video. did you not see them?

  • f2.8 super dupper sharpness ? surly f7.1 - f8 would give you the sweet point, yeah f2.8 should be sharp at the point of focus but would give you minimum DOF

  • @warrenmillarphotos this lens is a fbomb of sharpness, stopping it down 2 stops from its max and it is crazy Sharp! No need to stop way down an extra 3 stops except to get more dof.

  • Hey Dom, quick question for you...how much does the photographer "interfere" (collaborate?) with the make-up artist (or vice-versa)?

  • @g2quared85 interfere i think is the wrong word but the collaborate is best. it depends on what the shoot is for. is it for the makeup artist getting shots of her skills, is it for the model or is it for the photographer and the model? who the photos are for is usually the person who has the final say but as a photographer you need to be able to advise all parties as to what will look best after edit

  • Awesome, basically what i do as well, except i use a Nikon 80-200afs, an sb-600+sb-700 on the wall, a sb600 with the same beauty dish. Dont have an arm for the dish so i hand hold the dish and i shoot the camera with a knockoff Ml-3. Holding the dish is better than holding the camera as you can work with light. The only problem i had was the beauty dish would cast a round shadow, but if you pop some wax paper in it the proper way it gets rid of it. Have you had any problems with yours?

  • hi, which beauty dish you have?

  • @Dombowerphoto

My bad! Was focused on how the lights were set up =)

  • Hey Dom, a wee q regarding the beauty dish & upside down flash - are they being held by a magic arm or similar? Great vid, cheers!

  • awesomee

  • I wish your videos were longer :( Otherwise, keep up the great work!
