Dr Epstein performed a dense packed hair transplantation of 3059 grafts on this hair transplant patient. The patient is 5 ½ months post-op at the time of the video. He has approximately 60% of the newly transplanted hairs growing and it will take about 1 year to achieve his final result.

Please note that while this patient experienced accelerated results, many patients do not achieve their final results until 10-14 months after the procedure.

  • so what happens in 5 yrs when his hairline has further receeded and he has used up half his doner hair to lower his hairline? Poor planning and lack of forsight.... good results non the less

  • So meanwhile, he has been given now a more youthful permanent hairline that will look good even when he continues to get older.

  • @foundhair You mention rogaine at some point. As I heard it only applies to the crown area balding. Does it not? and he seems to have grey hair in front, will his transplanted hair grey as well? Or the color is permanent just as well?

  • @Trinder3467 Rogaine primarily works only in the back half of the scalp, but it also can help accelerate the regrowth of the transplanted hairs after the procedure. The transplanted hairs will be whatever color they were from the back of the head.

  • @foundhair But what would you suggest to a patient who's greying prematurely but shows no sign of balding or alopecia. Is there a surgical cure for that? He also has some grey hair at the back of his head(donor area).

  • @Trinder3467 Grey hair cannot be treated with a transplant.

  • @foundhair There is one thing that I don't undestand about transplants is "backwards brushing". I've never ever seen a video on youtube where a patient show his new hair brushing downwards. Is it because of the fact that if they do brush it down they will reveal the redness and balding will show? What's the story there? Thank you in advance.

  • nice hair , you´re too skinny, next step, is gain muscles, go to gym .

  • @foundhair Ok. But how come Tom Cruise doesn't have any signs of grey hair? Do you, as a surgeon, think that he aslo had a traslplant? And if yes, how many grafts are there? Let's not forget he's 50 years old now, and has the hair of a 25 year old. If it's his natural hair then how does he keep it in a such a young shape?
