I remember to this day that I had no idea what exactly what was going on when 9/11 happened.

I was young, about 9 or 8, living in North Carolina at the time. For a reason I can't remember, I was at home that day. So were my parents, because I remember seeing the look on their faces when they were watching the television screen. I remember I thought "What's wrong? Why are you guys so freaked out?" while the screen filled with smoke, fire, the falling down twin towers, and people running, screaming, crying, and bleeding. I didn't understand that I was watching actual live news. I didn't understand that this was a terrorist attack. And I didn't understand that I was watching actual people dying...

Seven years later, I understand the full weight of it, and I still am in total shock as to what happened. I know people have mixed views about the incident, and I am not here to start any kind of fight about it. I don't care about who thinks what or how one may take this video. In all actuality, I have just made this video for facts about the incident, and to canonize all the victims that unfortunately took in part of it.
...
My best friend, Colleen...
Sometimes I wonder if we were separated at birth. We're so alike in so many ways but not, you know? I know it sounds weird, but I don't care. She's one of the most amazing friend I could ever have, and I hope I know her for the rest of my life. She's become a sister to me, and I'll hold her in my heart forever.
Colleen had a cousin, Mike...
He was one of the many firefighters that answered to the Twin Towers. When he went it, everyone had been released from work and school, and her entire family gathered around a television, having many relatives who worked as firefighters. They all watched the events unfold, and even saw a glimpse of Mike's face, smiling and waving at the camera as his team raced to the two burning buildings. That was the last time they would see him.
He died saving the lives of his firemen and the innocent people he went to save, and to this day, Colleen wears a metal bracelet, memorializing her cousin forever upon her arm. Not long ago, we went to the Newseum in D.C. as a trip for our choir class. The Newseum is basically a museum all about the news. As one can imagine, there was a memorial of 9/11 there, even holding one of the mangled elevators from one of the Twin Towers as a centerpiece. I knew very well how uncomfortable Colleen was talking about 9/11, much less seeing what they had at the site. We ignored it for some time, taking the stairs and elevators past it (which was uncomfortable enough because she has this fear of bridges and heights and stuff (long story, don't ask.)) But then we were in the restroom, and Colleen told me she wanted to see it. Hesitantly, I agreed, not wanting to see her upset, but we walked over to it anyway. I will never forget that day or that time. There were many pictures and videos and newspaper articles on it. Colleen cried very hard that day, and I had never even seen her want to shed a tear before. I held her so tightly that day that I wouldn't be surprised if I cut off some circulation throughout her body. After that, I was her willing slave. I held her, I sang to her, I did anything she asked me to. Hell, had she asked me to go and get her a sandwich with pickled onions and radish in it, I would've searched it's cafeteria up, down, and turn it all around for one. Once Colleen felt she'd had enough, we walked far away from it and sat far away from it, turned away from it. We sat there in silence for a while, and then she told me the story about Mike. She'd never told me before even though I'd seen the bracelet and known of what happened to Mike, but I wouldn't have cared if it were the thousandth time I'd heard it. I listened carefully, and let her talk, and I was glad to see that she was smiling by the end of the day.

I made this video when we were discussing 9/11 in NSL Government class, even before the trip. I didn't have to, but I created this video for no grade or points whatsoever just because of how much the topic moved me, and it seemed when I asked the question, nobody knew what "Silent Night (9/11 Tribute)" was, so I made a video and turned it in. Here's what it came out to look like.

I still feel bad that I just easily brushed it off when it actually happened...

  • Please do not refer to these cowardly fucks as "terrorists" they are "cowardists", they don't have the gonads to don a uniform, meet us on a battlefield face to face, they want to know terror, let them pick a knife and meet me in a phone booth, I'll show them what terror is!

  • All that matters is we honor those who lost their lives that awful day. Everyone was touched that day.

RIP 9/11 victims. we have not forgotten.

well he turned on the Television and saw the Devastating News on Television, and he told the class, our work is done for today, lets take the time to watch the news, what has just happened, will change your lives forever, over the next several days and months,we had to

  • Haditquira is just trying to be provocative! Surely not his/her genuine feelings, if it is the CIA better start a file on this idiot!

  • Your facts are all wrong for an example the North Tower collapsed at 10:03 so go catch up on it

  • Oh, and one other thing... If you don't like the vid, nothing stops you from not watching it, there are plenty of other videos you can go help yourself to.

  • The Silent Night 9 11 tribute was one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. It has a deep meaning and is a touching song. Some of you have spoken ill of it and called Allah. A true Muslim would not so callously through out insults in Allah's name. While I do not follow the Muslim faith, I know some Muslims that follow the Koran the way it is meant to be followed, and from what I know, you should be ashamed. As far as the deaths, it really doesn't matter where they were, it was tragic.

  • This is a great video, there is a message here if you'll listen to it! The voice is representing God, and he is telling you, you're time will come, what will you do when your moment comes, your 11th hour, what will you do? That's all it is, and it reflects those who lost their lives on 911, remember those who choose to jump from the towers rather than burn to death, can you fathom what they could have been thinking? That's all it is, it's a good video and it made me think and ponder!

  • @ChucklesMofo Well now I don't mean to go disrespecting our King, he knows me very well, we're on the same page and he knows I'm just plugged into a different voltage than he is, I've been forgiven, Jesus knows the world needs men like me in this world, that's why there's priest out there I can go see and seek forgiveness, in any event I stand by my words!!!!!

  • @haditqura If your God is telling you that I would not be saddened by the death of a Muslim, then he obviously doesn't know me very well, therefore making your God unreal.

    I've had enough of you.

  • Haditaura I'm calling you out. I will pray for you. I tell you WE THE PEOPLE stand united. Mess with one you mess with all. Here's my prayer, "I want to pray for this poor fellow, he knows not what he does"
