Moving the S15 Jimmy after installing the 4L60E trans. It is still running on the 4.3 TBI calibration that the "427" PCM had in it. I am almost done tuning it now.

  • Why a 2.8? What happened to 4.3? Because 60* is a 2.8...

  • The truck had a 2.8 stock...Dropped a 3.4 into it and a matching 4L60E. Topped it off with the TBI intake, TBI, and a later PCM from a TBI S10.

  • Sounds liek a cherry bomb exhaust to me man

  • Nope, open Y-pipe

  • I used to think TBI's were junk, but they're not. Actuallly get better throttle response and fuel milage than a 4 barrel. At least from my expeirence that is so.

  • get some vids of that thing runnin

    that's a loud ass V6

  • No need to post a video my words speak for itself obviousely im alot more smarter than you when it comes to building and making things work not a video another asshole remark keep em comeing people are going to laugh at you jerkoff 3.4 belongs in grandmas grand am

  • @adamslurch71 A carb and fuel injection will give you the same out put totals but the fuel injection is more preccise and will let the power come in at a lower rpm as per a carb when a carb is set up properly its almost as accurate but a computer will constanly make changes if tbi was so good it would be in production today but its not its the port injection that rules for a reason thats why you moms tiny 4cyl will beat most older v-6s and v-8s @ 45% of the cubic inches too

  • @psychotikpaisano all that work and your going to be unhappy just like any 2.8 owner will tell you the 4.3 barely is enough its over 3800#s and the 3.4 produces low torqe and low Hp just put a good 4.3 with small upgrades and you will be doing all that work for something out of it isntead of going backwards and that t-5 will take you 2 seconds to shift each gear with that long shifter the 700r4 is perfect in those trucks do some research before doing people waste there time

  • @chevydually454 they are very restrictive at leat stock ones aftermarket has them prefected

  • @JOSHENLOE1 and a 1987 corvett with a 350 has 260hp what im saying just build the 4.3 up it has a 4" bore same as the 350 ci SB most marine 4.3s have around 300 hp and with work they build those engines up real quick putting a 5.0 thats an emissions engine in that truck is a stupid it carry more weight and has around the same output like i said build the stock engine i dont want to hear what the factory outputs are i allready know them its 180 up 1998 then went to 190 do ur homework

  • @giovanigta idk were u got ur info bud but ur not even close a 91 jimmy 4.3 only has 165 hp and 235 fpt and the 96 and newer are like 190 hp and 250 fpt... now a gmc typhoon witch looks like the jimmy but isn't also has a 4.3 but it has a stage 2 turbo and intercooler stock and produces 285 hp and 335 fpt....

  • Im doing a 3.4/T5 swap into my blazer in the following month.

Im picking the car up 2mrw so wish me luck!

  • @chevydually454 everyone believes in the need to follow technology, they find a way that works better and start building that instead. the main reason was fuel economy, carbs suck gas like theres no tomorrow, and yet make the most HP and Huge TQ, TB's make a good combo of HP and TQ, while Fuel injection make about equal HP and TQ. All you have to do is read to see what Im talking about. Not just my opinion, thats the facts.

  • @adamslurch71 , While it "could" be possible, I would need to see your proof. Opinions don't count in this case. If carbs are so great, why are they not being used anymore in production cars and trucks? Don't get me wrong, my next project motor will be carbed, fuel injection costs more to install.
