  • CONT'D should have been granted due to the human error of the scorekeeping staff not relaying the timeout request to the referees; this occured all the time in that era, which is why FIBA changed the way timeouts were called, making the scorekeeper entirely responsible for them. The on-court officials had only so many options under the rules, and Jones (acting without authority) ordered them violated. This is unacceptable behavior by Jones, and it directly affected the outcome of the game.

  • @stusaj5 I hate unfairness in sport. The guys train and sacrifice for all those years and are then cheated out of their prize. It can be humerous as a neutral, and when it's many years ago. I was furious when Diego Maradonna scored against England with his hand in 1986 but now find it quite amusing.

  • @Spetsnazovets

Hahah we have only been defeated 3 times in basketball. 3 times. 1 of them was a fucking cheat.

  • @stikndip As an american fan i find it pathetic by the olympic's, but true if i was not it would be a funny premature celebration

  • @stusaj5 You don't deny it's funny though ;o)

  • @stikndip It would never be put in those videos because it really wasn't a premature celebration. America had explicitly won many times in that game but then they stole the win away from them

  • - Kolyma waits for all you, - Soviet coach said.

  • VIVA RUSIA Y SU GENTE

  • @goten1214 yes but gold medal to USA is a given. I would like more drama in this sport other than going to play for 2nd place.

  • Remember it like yesterday... I was 10, watching it with my Dad and my two brothers, in a hotel room in Montauk NY. We went absolutely flat-out berserk mad, as all Americians did, so obvious was the fix.

If the USA was on the other end, I would have felt guilty over such a pussy win.
