During my RKC, Master RKC Brett Jones talked about the benefits of training with 2 different weight kettlebells. Our graduate workout featured uneven bells. This was the 1st time doing them with class. Slight timing issues with the back swing as sometimes they bail out early, but we can improve that. Still happy with the effort and progress

  • Cool, what are the advantages of the uneven weight? Is there a higher risk of injury?

  • @mugs27 the uneven weights challenges the "core" more than a single kettlebell or 2 kettlebells of the same weight. It also teaches keeping the bells "on a string" so you keep them at the same height.

This group has been working with me for quite some time and we started with uneven weight deadlifts 1st to prep them for the swings. This by no means is a complex for beginners. Beginners should get better at the basic 2 hand swing before moving to double bells and uneven double bells.
