Let's TV Play Classic : ohgon no shiro

This is one of those Plug-into-TV games. (whole system looks like a NES joypad).
It contains 2 arcade games per system and also has special mode for each arcade games.

This game is an arcade conversion of Taito game, ohgon no shiro (also known as Golden Castle / Gladiator)

Since joypad control is crappy, I couldn't do the barrier move in the walking mode (you need to SHAKE the joystick up and down like crazy)

Anyway, this conversion is very accurate... because...
You can strip Irene just like the arcade!!
I died many times trying to remove her armor piece by piece...

Where can i find this game online?

This game was in the local corner shop near my house, with Double Dragon and Street Fighter. The amount of coins I've put put into that arcade machine is unreal. It was called Golden Castle in these parts. I don't know if anyone knows this but on the joystick for the shield, if you flip the controls up and down quick enough, it creates a force field from head to toe, blocking everything till you reach the next opponent. This info would've helped 20 years ago, right?

This game gets really frigging hard towards the end, but thanks to MAME, I finally beat a game I never had a prayer of beating in the arcade when I was a kid. Great memories of this classic.

i hate this game think it was called gladiator in the west ,its so fuckin hard its controls felt like you where filling out tax returns while building a reefer while at the same time you where skining a cat
