What a difference from the silly-milly Disney version, which stressed the difference between American and Russian mindframes. Disney versus Dostoyevsky.

Not really; and even if I did it's only a slight difference in meaning… (as I said: "If you grew up with the Disney version"; it's practically the same)
It IS psycho if all you ever saw of the JungleBook is the Disney version…this one is more like having been drawn by a less talented artist on drugs or something.

Thanks for uploading! I have fond memories of watching this as a kid. Love how dark this version is compared to Disney, and how over the top the soundtrack is.
