Still inspiring after all this time.

Still need to get out of Iraq, but PLEASE do welcome and thank and value veterans when they return.

The significance of Springfield Illinois is that is the home of Abraham Lincoln. Obama is standing in front of the Sangamon County Court house where Lincoln used to practice law. It is also the place whee Lincoln announced his candidacy for president.

No it isn't. Even the NY Times, in an article titled, "A landslide election? No, but a clear win, for a change" had this to say about Obama's win: ""It was not a blowout and not a really close election," he said. "We got a little bit used to these close elections. Until 2005, we were legitimately talking about a 50-50 nation, where everything was close."Obama's victory was more along the lines of Bill Clinton's in 1992, when he won 370 electoral votes to the first President George Bush's 168."
