A Soft Iron core is the strongest way to go for an electromagnet. Finally on eBay!!!

  • dorothy93 you're the one that's watching this video to learn something and if he's flawless in his explanation except for one term you should probably shut the hell up

  • My goodness, THANK YOU!

  • Thank you for the constructive correction. My fault. I was going for the concept more than the terminology. Golly, gee! I hope I didn't ruin your day.

  • Come on man, post your work (videos) with free energy motors. It's fun to watch them, even if you do not succeed.

  • I've got the next one almost ready. Soon, young jedi.

  • thanx for the video man. I learned alot.

  • At around 6:10, uploader mixes the terminology "current" with "5 volts". Purely for clarification purposes to all those interested in playing with electromagnets, current is measured in amperage, and not voltage. Higher voltage does lead to higher amperage, however.. but I, for one, do not recommend it, as increasing voltage increases amperage but in turn increases watts... which will melt your magnet... try decreasing Resistance first. c:

    I(current) = V(volts) / R(resistance)

    P(watts) = I * V

  • THANK YOU FOR A GOOD DETAILED VIDEO, YOUR ABILITY TO ANTICIPATE THE NEXT QUESTION, AND THEN DESCRIBING IT , IS A GOOD TEACHING APPROACH.

  • Very nice video! Thanks!

  • Yo! First when you started to clap I thought this gonna be a revolutionary RAP style tutorial for electromagnets:) Great video Bro, thanks for posting!

  • If you're spending time trying to make magnet motors, then that is absolutely proof that you have absolutely no idea how magnets *ACTUALLY* work !

  • Right hand rule is the olddd way, it's the left hand rule now! Electricity runs from negative to positive.

  • Lord have mercy..this boy is GOOD LOOKING !!

  • if your rotating a magnet instead of a coil.wat is the formula to find induced emf?? is it the same e = B l v ?

this is a way i found out but don't knw it's correct r not.since emf induced is rate of change in flux, I multiplied the field strength B with the rate of change in area i.e. L x v . So i thought of finding the area of magnet and multiplying it to the number of rotations per sec to get the change in area. am i right in this? if not plz tell the right way
