  • this stuff works, now i can change myself to feel better. thank you

P.S i think you should make a video with better sound and more diagrams related to CBT with high resolution pictures..

  • This was very helpful. We use this in our group therapy sessions and I never realized it was what we were doing. We call it Twisted Thinking. Thank you for breaking it down.

  • Bad music + voice combination.

    I'm suddenly very very sleepy.

  • Good precise explanation!

  • @Psykologtips misspelling decison makes me want to discredit what you said

  • Actually we got more than enough evidence about "unconcious minds" to be able to leverage this into decition making, change work and health psychology

  • the Unconcious mind is cool, sounds cool, but as its name show, it is beyond (or below, depends on where ya wanna sit) our normal awareness; its the most difficult to change if not impossible for most of us...

Also no point in taking parts like one mind is better or "more true" than the other, neither emotional vs spiritual minds too, whats important is how they work TOGETHER and what comes out of this cooperation

As one cant control the world, nor the emotions, CBT helps putting the right tags

Maybe the rational mind Is overrated. The unconscious mind is much more relevant and powerful. It's the unconscious conditioning we all experience that creates the world we think we live in. Eg whats important, whos to be admired, what education is etc. Maybe there is no mind, it's not a thing just a delusion of separateness created by ones conditioning. Your mind is just like mine - a brain with stories in it. Cbt just creates new stories that are little delusions. Best wishes

There's no 'thought control' going on here. CBT helps an individual think more rationally for THEMSELVES. Personally I think if Americans actually thought more rationally they would realize that the income tax unconstitutional and they wouldn't be paying it. If voters thought rationally we wouldn't keep electing the same corporate shill to president every four years, and we might see some actual change.

  • Humans are not this simple. Open your mind to other therapies this ignores the unconscious mind that actually runs our lives. Cbt is for chimps and pidgeons not people we need love and time not thought control and get back to work and keep paying your taxes. Maybe depression is caused by living in modern society where people are now given this !!!t as if it's the best psychotherapy. cheap and nasty.
