@bleachyourwork I clearly state that they can learn things on their own, but you're full of shit if you're trying to imply that they recognize you as their "master". My remarks were directed to the idiot who was wanting to "teach" them by smacking them; reptiles and negative reinforcement: BAD idea.
amazing. Yes, monitors are EXTREMELY smart, only a dis-compassionate moron couldn't see that. Then again, it must be that they are one of the many stupid human's, they don't like it that most other people are a lot smarter than they are and they have to find some way to feel superior. So they say lizards are dumb. Just pity them and don't worry about it.
@varanid9 cool , congrats lizard whisperer.ive had some cool shit but i must admit i didnt too carried away , an alligator sounds cool but it just wouldnt be fair tothe creature , unless you have acres and acres and can have a secure fenced in pond. Do you have that ? Then i dont think its a good idea to have a tiger or a croc in a darn apartment.
@varanid9 Yes lizards can be taught,I have afew that comes to their names. I wish more people would work with their lizards because they are smarter then you think ! I will out a video responce on here to show you some of my lizards responding to their names, with and without food and outside.
@varanid9 FYI, I've been hand feeding and feeding lizards food out of my mouth for over 20 yrs and never once have been bitten, for one when you raise a reptile such as an savi or even an iguana you learn its characteristics, and to say reptiles cannot be taught is not true, both of my big lizards one a mature male iggy and the other a male savi, BOTH know not to shit ANYWHERE other then in there shitting boxes, and both will stop on a dime from doing whatever it is their doing when i yell NO
