Your review could have been shortened to about 1:34. You discussed features already standard in most tablets, and could have used industry terms to shorten trying to explain other features.

@soaringsolo The thrive comes with a trial version of an app called kaspersky tablet security which you can activate just by signing up. After the trial runs out you have to pay, If you go to the market and search for Norton Security there is a good free mobile security suite. That is the one I use. Plus the good people at symantec have a number of useful apps under the Norton name like mobile utilities and so on. Hope this helps!

@platterofhotfish Hello platterofhotfish(cute name by the way). Just got my tablet and I'm curious. How do I download virus protection on my thrive. I'm not really computer literate so any help is appreciated thanks platterofhotfish. I like saying that name. Lol.

@Gerwin3743 yes that is the main reason why they included the front facing camera

@SmileyFace122216 i would not know about the calling and texting. that is what i am trying to figure out about it myself but i do know that the pictures and vids are alright. of corse the back camera is better than the front camera. the main reason y they included the front camera is mostly for Skyping and things like that

I had an Ipad (first Gen) for over 8 months and just got Toshiba thrive 2 weeks ago. I think its sooo much better than the Ipad. And I haven't had any issues with it being slow unlike some people who mentioned it here.My Toshiba Thrive works fine and has a pretty good battery life as well. I Love my New Tablet!

@platterofhotfish Yeah!! o/
Just bought mine a couple weeks ago and it is epic. Everything I wanted and more the size makes no difference and if anything makes it easier to hold. the ports are winderful. Death to the ipad! Keep thriving!

Ordered 2 for Christmas presents for my husband and son (who is 2nd year college student). Thought long and hard about this versus iPad2 (I have the 1st gen iPad and a 7" Sansung Galaxy). Decision was ultimately made based on the Thrive having the USB (full and mini) and the HDMI. Yes it's a little "chunkier" than the iPad2 but I'll (or should I say "they'll) deal with that in order to have all the other features, not to mention the ability to play flash video.
