@ArabianNiights We haven't crushed them because the current "rules of war" that were put on paper after WWI and WWII don't allow the types of warfare that would allow us to crush them. The insurgents have no qualms about killing anyone who gets in their way, be they man, woman, or child. American soldiers are not simple butchers who will shoot anything wearing a turban just because it might be an enemy.
