Sad to say i've only ever heard John Carradine's voice in one movie, The Secret of Nimh. But what a voice it was.

I met David Caradine at SpyFest and said to him, "I'm a big fan of your dad's films. He's been in more classic movies than anyone." David was excited to hear that and we talked about some of them. David Said, "My father's death scene in 'Blood and Sand' is the best death scene in any movie."

but who would remember him so well if he made just good movies?
actors who did great things on the screen, may be slightly regarded today, but john made himself a cult figure with his trail of trash, he will live on much longer with each generation ,,
