@holyfuxxxx Some consider it to be a genre, some a style of playing instruments, while keeping tone, timber and other musical abstracts in polyrythmic sequence. It also conveys to jazz-like groovy upbeat patterns in 6/8s, 5/4s, and such. If you know TOOL, listen closely to some of their tracks. Youll see a ''soft'' resemblence next to ''Djent". "DJENT" is Progressive Metal, on ( not steroids). Fucking LSD!

@holyfuxxxx Djent is a heavy metal music subgenre that emerged as a spin-off from progressive metal.Coined by the band Meshuggah, it was popularized through the internet by Periphery, specifically guitarist Misha Mansoor.
