The feebies did tap MLK's phone lines and engaged in other violations of the Constitution...but they also engaged in it against Klansmen as well...COINTELPRO was designed to disrupt ANY dissident group in America whether it was George Lincoln Rockwell's ANP, the Klan, the Posse Comitatus, the Black Panthers, Church of Scientology or whatever---it was not just the snivel rights movement that was a target of COINTELPRO. Also heard that Hoover was a drag queen. Not surprising.
