@ThePointinDog You're mostly quite right. However, we're doing something that's never been done in Earth's history: we're taking millions of years of locked up, subterranean carbon, and releasing it into the biosphere over a period of a couple hundred years, while at the same time damaging the Earth's flora--it's main mechanism for reabsorbing carbon. It's ludicrous to thank that there won't be major repercussions...ludicrous, and reckless.

@derekrhode That's a load of bullcrap. Just propaganda.

@MrSimalach Who can dislike this? Someone who sits inside in front of the TV for the majority of their free time. Someone who cannot get outside of their ego/mind and only thinks about how much money they need to buy what they want.

There's credibility re: the top two comments.
Studying into the earth's current dilemma demonstrates that it's cyclical - like virtually all life forms. It takes only one of our semi-large volcano's to erupt for more damage to be achieved than man can do. But yes, we all need to make a very concerted effort to save our Earth.

هذه الدنيا التي لا تساوي عند الله جناح بعوضة ، فمابالكم بالجنة التي فيها ما لا عين رأت ولا اذن سمعت ولا خطر على قلب بشر
The earth hasn't been heating up since the Industrial Revolution, it's been heating up for the past 18,000 years since the last ice age.. The earth has done this hundreds of times.

@ThePointinDog I think its because we have damaged our biosphere so badly its not able to keep up with carbon levels anymore. Look at ice core data on carbon levels and also the history of the planet. Many countries used to be covered with trees but isnt the case anymore just a example look at spain and india's history. The US government had to pay Ecuador to not cut down the amazonian rainforest to make way for farmland. If you dont see how badly we are damaging our biosphere you need to look
