RTGz - Twamtaka

The group RTGz is made up of five former street boys and girls namely; Caroline, Pauline, Karis, Kennedy and Anthony. They started singing in 2004 as a hobby in the evening and that's when they met and formed the group RTGz which means "Return to God".

Their dream is to see other street kids realize their dreams in life. The RTGz says that life in the streets is real tough and hostile and as a result they are involved in a lot of illegal and illicit behavior. They intend to reach out to the street kids through their music ministry by assuring them that they can turn their lives around and live responsible lives. Most of the street kids believe that they are no good and that nothing good can come out of their lives; we would like to change that says Kennedy a member of the RTGz.

Being rescued from the streets and releasing their first track 'Bado nina Praise' was the best time in their lives. They finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Seeing and hearing that some of their friends died on the street as a result of drugs, mob attack and HIV/AIDS, breaks their heart. These are some of the toughest issues they have to deal with.
