Prison Entrepreneurship Program: How to Free A Prisoner

This video highlights the work of a Texas based program that offers a solution to the growing problem of overly packed, budget crushing, and endless cycle of incarceration in the United States. The Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP) trains a carefully selected group of currently incarcerated men in business skills and character building so that they have hope and direction when they're released back into society. Moreover, this award winning program equips the participants with mentoring, micro-financing for business startup, transitional housing, job placement, family counseling, and spiritual develop in order for them to have the greatest chance at success. The rates for men returning to prison are over 60% lower than those of the general Texas rate of recidivism.
