The E46 looks much more robust than the E36 IMHO. I would put in the Signature Motoring performance intake kit for only around $150 and gain up to 13HP on the stock output for the 330i and a bit less for the 325 and 328. I highly recommend this item, see my youtube channel for the action video on it.

@E30m3EvoVIIIMR laf... e30 cluster isn't an e46 cluster... I am well aware you can take the M5 ECU and an E30 cluster and have no xmas tree. not hard. but thats not what Hartge did, nor was that what my comment was about.

@jasonhutchcraft look at the power curves, a peaky Tq curve and a low RPM redline. 400HP out of 6.2L, ya, its nothing to write home about. Any dullard can make that happen.

Ok my friend i duno shit hehe i only have an m3 with an m5 engine and i got the m5 cluster aswell but decided to keep the m3 cluter so it looks stock and everything works fine no xmass tree and my ecu is the m5 one, the ecu has to be for the motor u put it cant be any other way ..good day

I don't thin you know shit. Integrating the E39 ECU would cause the cluster to light up like an Christmas tree. The cluster more than a simple tach and speedo on the E46 and E39s.
