I finally got an Echo to have a starting competition with Stihl. These are my two favorite brands of 2 cycle equipment, Stihl and Echo.

  • have you used the stihl fs310. awsome strimmers.

  • I've tested them at a dealer before, but never have taken them out to a field yet. I bet they are sweet!

  • The hedge trimmer appears to be more dated than the blower. What are the years?

  • The blower is a 2005. I'm not sure on the year of the hedge trimmer, a friend gave it to us, but it was kept in very good condition and does not have much use.

  • Why does it take so long for the primer bubble to return on the stihl? Because there's already fuel in the carb, because it was already running.

  • i totally agree with you man except with chainsaws i gotta say stihl is better

  • My echos start at 1 pull sometimes if I flip the choke quick enough

  • you suck at starting equipment haha

  • I have a Sthil-a Ryobi-an Echo-and a Husqvarna. The Husqvarna starts the best, then the Echo, and the Ryobi and Stihl come in l

ast place, but not by much. I would buy any of these by price if apples were compared to apples. Doesn't matter how many tests/comparisons are done, people will be biased and suspicious at the results. But your presentation was done well, and fairly I think.

  • Try useing a hedge trimmer against another hedge trimmer. Cold starting hedge trimmers can be effected by the gearbox being gummed up or other factors. Use two power blowers to state your case better.

  • im a stihl dealer and all of our units always start on the first pull... echo is a good brand but stihl is way better

  • @Mightylite94 try the carberator pin

  • Echo's don't need to be primed that much and they don't need any throttle input. Leave them at idle when starting, (cold)should only take 1 or 2 pulls on choke until it sputters, then another pull with choke off and it'll purr like a kitten.

  • Ok..... 2 Stroke started at full throttle like this will cause a cold siezure..... great money maker video

  • the bg 85 is a good blower i have one my self

  • today echo has a i-30/i-75 starter which means 30%/75% less effort starting.
