The Rogues play 'Steamtrain to Mallaig' at the Dickens on the Strand Festival 2006. This was the first video I shot with my new videocam so the filming wasn't too great, but the piping sure was. Thanks Leah for holding my pipes while I shot this!
Playing it a bit too much like an over-revved race car. Jigs aren't played this fast gentlemen. It simply shows how fast your fingers are. The music suffers some. My opinion: More like Clapton and not so much like Alvin Lee.
Well done, nicely played - but the drums suggest this is a banana boat and NOT a steam train. Mary-Anne McKinnon's original goes to Mallaig and not Tobago.
