Jennifer Strickland was a top runway model for Armani until she gained four pounds. It was her saving grace, because out of that "failure" she found a God who saw her as more than a pretty face and looked at her inner-beauty.

@musicallie44 So your argument is essentially “Music makes people feel good and science can’t describe it”? Try a psychology class. Esp. one that focuses on culture

In regard to music - the human element involved with music is intangible. One example...musicians on the same stage even experience rare instances of being "in the groove" to the point of knowing what each other is going to do.
It is hard to describe without experiencing it. Digital production and 12-Tone music both rely on science or math alone. But they never succeed in reproducing the intangible value of music between humans.

@musicallie44 "science cannot explain music.” --> how so?
"You may see it as a crutch.” --> I never claimed this, I’ve only pointed out that it can be taken as an implication.

@musicallie44 "we will never know Adam and Eve's perspective or mental status during these events”
Answer this honestly. If you came to me and told me you’ve learned something, or your eyes were opened to a new perspective wouldn’t that mean you did not have that knowledge? How can you learn something if you already knew it? I’d rather not have a debate I’d rather have a civil conversation.

There is a spiritual part of life that no scientist can describe. Like music - science cannot explain music. They analyze with logic and math only to fail. Faith in the unseen is often called myth and foolishness by the world. God's wisdom and human wisdom are so far apart - our minds cannot even comprehend. You may see it as a crutch. But like the woman in this movie - my eyes now see the truth. I can only pray one day you will too.

I would love to say I'm a great debater, but I'm not. But the questions you raised I will look for answers in the Bible. Because in the Bible we are encouraged to seek answers to questions like these. To test and try our faith. In all truth though, we will never know Adam and Eve's perspective or mental status during these events. There is a faith element involved.

@musicallie44 "You have to hit that rock bottom, and come to an awareness of your own sin and helplessness.” --> so God only comes to you when your at rock bottom? Doesn’t seem to be the best approach.
It would be more powerful if it wasn’t at rock bottom because people would be less inclined to say “its just a crutch"

@musicallie44 "Blaming God for our sin?” --> well if we rationally look at the story of adam and eve, they didn’t have the nessiary knowledge to deal with the situation. Were put in a volatile situation... sounds like bad parenting.
And what happens? God Punishes them, every living creature on earth that was innocent, and all descendants... Sounds like an egotistical problem there.. no way is it just
