Using a program called synergy (similar to a KVM switch but software / LAN based) I can share one keyboard between 2 computers. I can drag my mouse from one screen to the other as seen in this video.

I have not experienced any lag. This program runs on OSX, Linux, and Windows platforms. Pretty cool if you ask me

  • This is NOT dual monitor setup, this is ONE mouse/keyboard, on 2 Separate OS's + Computers

  • The point is that you can have two computers doing different things without having two mice and two keyboards. However, it's even better because you can have two different operating systems. That means you can have a windows PC when you need it, a linux or mac for everything else, and you can use them together like 1 pc with dual monitors.

Using just dual monitors has its advantages, but so does this.

  • Dude, check out this video where you can see me put 2 mice on the same screen. Just search 2 Computer Mice on the Screen

  • grrrr i want more hardware

  • agreed

  • What?

  • this is real google it synergy

  • sure... if u have a 100wat power supply for a mega power user and extreme gamer .. yea its gona blow up maybe... otherwise u dont know what ur talking about

  • Didnt mean to sound like a know-it-all smart-ass. Sorry. But really, I have seen this done many times on dual screen systems. It is cool, and very useful. But really not that impressive.

You would really "impress" the doodoo outa me by getting TWO "independent" cursors on the screen at the same time, from hooking up two different mice. Show me that trick and I shall indeed-- BOW DOWN TO YOU AND CALL YOU MASTER!
