From the "Great Scenes from Shakespeare" series, this "Macbeth" video opens with Macbeth's famous soliloquy, "if 'twere done when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly." That is followed by Lady Macbeth's display of the terrible passion of her ambition to have Macbeth become king. The Great Scenes series, in which actors perform in authentic period costumes on stages patterned after Elizabethan theaters, illuminates the atmosphere and themes of the larger play. Produced by Seaboume Enterprises, Ltd. 8 minutes, color.
