Yeah, "in a perfect sink".. Do you think that one is perfect?
"Perfect" usually means in pure theory, because in reality there are other much stronger effects.

Actually the Coriolis effect does affect water flow just not daining water, what it does effect is the gyres in oceans? like the alaskan gyre it flows clockwise so therefore it does affect them and in the southern hemisphere the gyres flow counter

Yes, its now clear from the feedback I've received from this clip that the coriolis effect does not operate at the micro level. This demonstration looks convincing but is actually I guess a clever spoof. Thanks for the feedback.

Actually some toilets are manufactured differently below the equator in some countries hence the reason for a difference in flow. Face it it's an urban legend. Write Mythbusters and have them sort it out lol

They are like, at the same place. And, the Coriolis Effect does not affect the water flow, unless the water has absolutely no motion, and the hole is really, really small. He created motion by putting the stick in the pan, and the hole is quite big. Also, it does not affect water flow, as the Earth takes one day to complete a rotation, and you cant drain water for 24 hours straight, its not eco friendly.

look at 0:05, they are in Uganda which is split by the equator, half is in northern hemisphere, the other half is in the southern hempsphere.
