@oldskooljunkeee its when they chop the usual beat up and create a more unpredictable beat with an unique vibe, for instance if you'ld expect a snare, there could be a kick or hat or silence, also called amen break or hyper break in more extreme forms it's a faster and even more unpredictable beat, if you really want to have a good example I suggest "the force is electric" by Ed Rush massive 3 min+ hyper break
