Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences choir students perform their version of "Empire State of Mind." As part of a class assignment, students rewrote the lyrics to show pride in academic achievement and their hometown of Detroit.

    As a future educator of the City of Detroit, this almost had me in tears. Detroit is a great city with great children who will lead not only this city but the world to greatness! I can't wait to graduate from MSU and educate in my beloved city! Great job DAAS!
