It was just one of those years Hal when everything came together, last year the wolves had the elk so spooky we did not get a one, things are changing.

The biggest problem with bow hunting elk is that once you get one, deer hunting looses all its lure. It just does not compare and killing an elk zaps your desire for taking deer. Go Figure?

Beautiful country. Would love to go on an elk hunt but I have a long way to go to prepare and be a skillful hunter.

@copenhagensmile02 I did not know that outfitters lease public land. I have never heard that. If so that is deffinately bullshit. Even yet, state law requires out of state hunters to hire an outfitter or hunt with a resident guide in order to enter wilderness areas, that is why I'm in favor of expanding the role of resident guides. That way we could keep the money in the state and take some power away from the outfitter lobby in Cheyenne.

@BasNoAnBua I mostly agree with your statement. Except, i am opposed to ALL outfitters. They lease once public hunting land that many of us have been hunting for years, and charge THOUSANDS of dollars to "guide" people. Save an elk, shoot a outfitter.

I welcome out of state hunters, they are a big boost to the economy. I don't care for out of state outfitters lobbying our state legislature though, just like most other business in Wyoming they take the money out of state. I think we need to expand the role of resident guides here. That would keep money in the state, and build lasting relationships with out of state hunters who have money to spend.

This would have been a good video but all you how is the kills that's fucking stupid the real action is the hunt itself you fail because I don't care to see allnyour kills or trophies, try harder next time
