I hacked the remote control to an RC car, then hooked it up to a 3-axis/triple-axis accelerometer and and Arduino to make a gravitational-drive vehicle. Tilting the remote left or right controls the direction of the car, and tilting forward or towards me controls whether the wheels spin forward or in reverse.

I wrote up the project and added the code over at antipastohw.blogspot.com, and the accelerometer is up on www.moderndevice.com
