They have some strangfe festivals over in Japan. Was recently watching a BBC documentary on a festival where all the men strip naked and chase a monk down the streets to some temple once a year.

Oh! There's a level in Ouendan 1 based upon a Matsuri.
The story for the level, or what I presume the story is since I can barely read Japanese, is a guy who's trying to win the heart of a girl on the opposing team of a Matsuri race (it's Ouendan, why not?) while also trying to beat the other team.
