ASEAN Corner competition

Sudut ASEAN or ASEAN Corner is timely with effort to promote ASEAN in various aspects. With the inclusion of latest information on ASEAN in schools ,it can create awareness in exposing and widening the mindset and knowledge of students regarding ASEAN. This was stated by the Director of Information who is also the Chairman of the Sub-committee on Information of ASEAN COCI , Doktor Haji Muhammad Hadi during the launching of ASEAN Corner competition at the Mahbohai Primary School.

The Director of Information said that ASEAN Corner is a source of reference and learning attraction for students inline with ASEAN Charter towards upgrading ASEAN identity through awareness regarding culture and heritage understanding of ASEAN countries. He said that effort to realize ASEAN Community through a slogan 'one vision,one identity, one community' would be achieved through continous hardwork from all ASEAN community, especially through education platform.

94 primary schools throughout the country participated in the ASEAN Corner competition which was organised by Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, Information Deparment and Prime Minisiter's 0ffice. The objective is to create awareness among students, and community regarding history, culture, socio-economi ,politic, and currents affairs of ASEAN countries.The event took place at Mabohai Primary School.
