I spent five perfect weeks in South India, December '08 into January '09. The trip could not have been better. People were kind, beautiful, passionate, resilient, interesting, hopeful, playful, wise.

I saw in the south it was often a great source of pride and joy how people from different religions got along and were often best friends.

India is complex, timeless, paradoxical, entrepreneurial, spiritual--and with even a cursory glance at history, unbelievably resilient. Rephrasing a famous line from quantum theory, "If you think you understand India, you don't understand India." I felt kinship everywhere. Plus a vegetarian's dream. If you can go, go. And if you go, namaste. And if you can namaste, it's limitless.

Lots of love to you,

Pete McCormack, March '09

  • next time b my guest.u r a talented guy.

  • Even though it looks like some are less fortunate, living on the streets, the way you shot this and your very moving song captured it in a way that you feel compassion and feel the soul of the people there. I love the little one at the very end with the big eyes :)
