There is no noticeable difference in graphics quality between DX9 and DX10. In my case, I found a 20-30 fps increase using DX9.

The best thing is for you to test for yourself, and see what works best for you.

If you can run DX10 with decent frame rates then by all means keep it at DX10. If not, just use DX9, you won't be missing out on anything spectacular.

no Console gfx can match PC gfx. PC will always be superior to gfx and effects.

@gtvapsamtik well technically thats not true.The original xbox gpu obviously beats the ati rage series.And the PS3 GPU(modified nvidia 7800)is definitely better than the nvidia geforcee 6100/6200

@gtvapsamtik well i checked the specs of the ps3 and they said the gpu is twice as fast as a 6800 ultra, which most gfx on the pc are way more than that anyway! But the ps3 gfx is still pretty good compaired to the 360 gfx

u must set ure video card for performance and then go in game and set resolution lower ,it will work normal

the difference betwen DX9 and 10 is texture

so check it with your own eyes

I have a question I have a new laptop with 2.13GHz centrino 2 and 1GB nvidia 9600m GS graphics card I'm trying to play games like gears of war on high and I just got into this oveclocking stuff but do directx 10 make games run better or with my specs will it run better I now have vista home but 2morrow I'm upgrading to ultimate will that help as well please help THX's and great Vid

kk... soooo... I've changed my mind... I'll buy a Gainward GF 9600GT 1GB... so... DX9 with vsync on... this will be even better... If I buy it then I wont need to upgrade again in 3 or 4 years *evil laugh*

Ok... I upgraded my PC... AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 3000 Mhz 6000 and 3 gbs of RAM... Now... I'll have to buy a better video card... I have a NVidia GeForce 7300... 256 Mb :(... If I upgrade to a video card with 512 mb can I play it at full gfx settings? Or near to full gfx? pls answer meeeeee... I gotta know...
