I get what you mean, but unfortunatley for me, I can never find a clear canal for bass or pea's I always fish murky waters and I usually do the same, I make an "educated guess" and hope to god there's a fish where I cast.
I think what's bothering me the most is that those weird boats are cleaning alot of the canals here, and idk if you've seen them, but they're really driving all the pea's away.

There are very few "sigh fishing" opportunities in the Amazon. In some of the clear rivers where it is very shallow if you know what to look for you can see them. Its not like it is here in South Florida.
Its more like bass fishing...you make like a thousand casts every day and really work your ass off ripping those big baits back to the boat! But it is fun work!
