Watch as the Boeing jumbo jet barrels through a huge puddle. The "water spray" test is designed to make sure water is not ingested into the engines.

  • @jonstewartforprez i dont think there is any current airline company who have chosen a 800+ passenger layout for the A380

  • i hate planes and there pollution!

  • @Xiber1 Actually, 747-8 also uses some very nifty new technology that makes for quieter flights and more fuel efficiency. 747-8 is supposed to have 2.8liters per 100km per seat, while A380 is 2.9liters per 100km per seat. That .1 liters per 100km per seat makes a huge difference on long haul flights. So in the fuel efficiency scenario, 747-8 wins.

Also, not sure if I would want to go on a flight of 800+ passengers. The service might be bad, and I'm sure emergency evacuations would be slow.

  • @PangeaSpreads You're wrong A380 is new technology, a very quiet aircraft for ultra long range flights in economy configuration A380 can carry 800 plus passengers also A380 is more economical than the 747-8.

  • @JaneSanFrancisco A-380 is not needed, too many countries involved in assembling sections and manufacturing parts which have had compatibility issues with a multitude of issues and timely delivery delays since then, and for what? a slightly larger aircraft which does not offer (in my opinion) enough gains over the 747 to compete with 40 plus years of development and refinement into the ultra-reliable and proven aircraft it still is today, A-380 demand died with economic crash

  • @nielscarp capacity is much greater with the 747. One trip is always cheaper than two.

  • @Skybolter NO. BOEING IS THE BEST!

  • Boeing is the best then airbus!

  • I personally still feel safer on good old 747with

half a century of best safety record in aviation history.[ While new, fad

and exciting A380 start appearing cracks on wings in multiple planes

in such short a period of times ever since coming into service.]

  • @limagabriel68 No? It's a test showing if water, gets into the engines.... -.-
