BF3 - Why the Extinguisher is so effective

The extinguisher is very effective when flying the Viper. It is an underrated specialization but if you use it with the right Pilot/Gunner loadout it makes the Viper a deadly and agressive Helicopter.

I'd recommend the following loadout:
Pilot: Maintenance, Extinguisher, Heat Seekers
Gunner: Stealth, Flares, TV Missile

The maitenance is useful in this loadout to automatically repair the Helicopter faster after using the extinguisher.
Stealth comes in handy to increase locking time since you only have 1 set of flares.

Do you happen to know how long the Extinguisher takes to be replenished? Also how long after using it does it take for auto-maintenance to kick in?

Extinguisher reload time: 11 seconds.

Time for repair to kick in: 12,5 seconds (8,5 seconds with maintenance)

Extinguisher+Maintenence is a seriously underrated combo, and the reason I raged so hard about the AA missiles having thier damage nerffed below 50%. So the pilots were sick of burning down? Tell them to equip the Fire Extinguisher then, that's what it's for! But no, they nerffed the AA missile instead, and now the Guided Tank Shell is the best AA weapon. Derp.

Always that IU watch these BF3 videos, it makes me want so hard to go play tha game and do that. But when I finally get the chopper I try to do it and it does not work, I just rage quit xD
